There is a solution and it's called secure containers. I've never really got used to mining in secure containers, I think they are much to small for starters but that is a whole other discussion __________ Capacitor research |

Then it's not a solution.
Secure cans are too small to make it a valid option.
Precisely so you should be asking for bigger cans instead of some way to be able to hunt the ore thieves down because I can't see that happening, not saying I agree or disagree just that it probably will never happen. To be honest I like the two kinds of mining, unsecure in a huge container and secure in a smaller container I just think the smaller container is a little bit to small. How about a way to combine containers in space to make one enormous one that would probably simplify things a lot. __________ Capacitor research |

Originally by: Wrangler The only problem with that link is that it tells you how it is now, the purpose of these threads is for people to discuss possible changes. That link in itself really isn't an argument that a change shouldn't be made.
I don't think miners are complaining about ore thiefs existing, they are complaining that there is no way for them to retaliate.
Could you please not be so blatently biased towards the carebear perspective when posting as a moderator in the future? k thanks.
The entire point of that FAQ entry was that "stealing ore" IS NOT an "actionable offense", and players have no right to shoot other players in secure space for picking up jettisoned junk. In other words, ORE THIEVES ARE AN INTENDED FEATURE OF MINING IN EVE. Read it. Tell me it says something different, and I will call you illiterate.
Read the FAQ entry. It KILLS all "secure jet can" arguments. The devs have spoken, so lock this thread, and all others from now on. Carebear.
Sorry have to step up for Wrangler here. He actually never took a stand on this one. In no part of his answers does he say that there is need for change just that this thread is really a discussion about whether there is need for change. __________ Capacitor research |

Duh
you cannot drop a secure can in 1.0 or .9 systems.
Think the general opinion on that is get the **** out of newbie space. Not meaning that there is something wrong with staying in 1.0 or 0.9 system just leave the ore for the newbies. __________ Capacitor research |
